Account for (phrasal verb) /əˈkaʊnt fɔːr/

  1. To explain the reason for something or how something happened. LV: izskaidrot, pamatot.
  2. To be the explanation or cause of something. LV: būt par cēloni.
  3. To form a particular amount or part of something. LV: sastādīt (daļu), veidot.
  4. To know where someone or something is, especially after an accident or incident. LV: apzināt, uzskaitīt.
