What do you learn about:
Which of these things do the speakers do?
Conversation 1: Thiago and Jasmine
Thiago: Hi, I’m Thiago.
Jasmine: Jasmine, nice to meet you.
Thiago: You too. How long was your trip?
Jasmine: About an hour.
Thiago: Sean says you’re American. Where are you from?
Jasmine: That’s right. I’m from Boston. I went to university there. Do you know it?
Thiago: No, I’ve never been, but I’d like to.
Jasmine: Thiago, that’s a Brazilian name, isn’t it?
Thiago: It is. My father’s from Brazil, but I’m Italian. So, do you know Orla?
Jasmine: Yeah, I met her at the interview. She’s really nice. Hey, what do you know about working at TGC?
Thiago: Not much.
Conversation 2: Alex and Azra
Alex: So, I heard you come from Turkey. Whereabouts?
Azra: Well, I was born in Istanbul, but my parents moved to London when I was five. We go back quite often to see family. Do you know Turkey?
Alex: A little. I went there on holiday about three years ago. Which do you prefer, London or Istanbul?
Azra: Hmm. That’s difficult. I love them both. No more difficult questions, I promise. We’re supposed to be relaxing.
Alex: No problem.
